Meet Héloïse, our Energy Management System Engineer

After graduating as electrical engineer, Héloïse worked for the Belgian government in Rwanda for a rural electrification project. She then joined the CE+T Energrid’s team as Energy Management System Engineer. She is positive about the impact this company and her job can have on our planet. Who is she? Let’s find out!

Héloïse Dubois, Energy Management System Engineer at CE+T Energrid

What do you like about CE+T Energrid?

I really appreciate the fact that this company and this job are in line with my values. Indeed, we work mainly with renewable energies and we focus on solutions to preserve the planet and I think it’s important.

Moreover, I think the Orison project is very interesting because it would “empower” energy consumers and allow them to make smarter and greener decisions.

My role at CE+T Energrid is…

Understand Energrid products well enough to be able to suggest the right one according to customer requests and, if necessary, make some changes to make it fit perfectly. Then there is the follow-up: making sure that there are no problems and providing technical support if necessary.

What is exciting about your job here is…

I like my work because it is not only technical, there is also a contact with the customer. We meet the customers and find with them the solution adapted to their needs. Understanding what people want and finding a solution is important to me and that's what Sam and the team were looking for, so it was perfect!

What are your hobbies?

I like to travel as I went to Rwanda but in my future travels, I would like to use alternative means of transport and avoid the plane as much as possible. I also spend a lot of time with my friends and family.

If you had to recommend a book, which one will it be?

Harry Potter is a must-have, timeless, one of my favorites. I started to read my first Harry Potter book at 10 years old and I still appreciate it.

Who is your favorite artist?

I really appreciate Gaël Faye, a French-Rwandan writer and musician. He wrote a book called Petit Pays (Small Country), an autobiographical tale of his life as child in Rwanda during the genocide. His book has been adapted to a film and I will definitely go see it.

My state of mind is…

« The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new. »

I try to look at things in a positive way, to see the positive sides, even if sometimes there aren't many in a day, it's important to stay motivated.
