We successfully inaugurated our first Microgrid project at Mery

After months of hard work, our first Microgrid project had a successful official opening this 1st June at Mery with the presence of our Ministers. The solution is composed by CE+T power converters (640 kW), storage (340 kWh) and software (EMS and BMS). The whole CE+T Energrid team is now ready to propose storage and microgrid solutions for commercial or industrial customer in Belgium and abroad. These solutions are ideal to reduce your energy bill as explained in this video :

Our Abstract has been selected for the CIRED Workshop 2018 !

With the emergence of renewable energies, we are shifting from a centralized to a local production of electricity power. This will increase the need for Residential Power Electronics. In this context we've proposed to the CIRED workshop 2018 an abstract addressing the need for a rethinking of electrical converters as bidrectional smart energy gates. MeryGrid complete the first stage of test !

Our Smart Grid project, MeryGrid, has successfully run the first batch of test at CE+T ! MeryGrid is a Pilot Project, in cooperation with Nethys, ULiège and Sirris, which is main goal is to set up one of the first Smart Grid in Belgium. It will supply three companies who have two means of energy generation, hydraulic and solar. Our system contains 196 Li-On batteries from Valence and 32 of our AGIL modules. It will be able to supply or charge the batteries at 640 kW on demand. One of our main issue was to synchronize every actor, who each has a specific mean of communication, to be able to have optimal use of the available power. We’ve been able to perform full charge and discharge at an optimal cycle for the batteries life. The EMS of ULiège also has successfully run their EMS cycle. The container has been sent in painting last week and will be installed at Mery in about two weeks where will run our system at full power and finalize the project See you in soon at Mery!
