Meet Francis Heyrman, our sales manager

After working 5 years for CE+T Power, Francis decided to take his bike and travel in Africa from Cairo to Cape Town. Today, as the COVID-19 forced him to stop his journey in Tanzania, he is back in Belgium and has taken the challenge to work for CE+T Energrid. Who is he? Let’s find out!

What is exciting about CE+T Energrid?

Renewable energy is an area that has long interested me. When I came back from Africa, I had a discussion with Sam and I was very impressed with what CE+T Energrid has developed. When I was working for CE+T Power, I saw many opportunities in this field. Today, with Energrid’s products, these opportunities have become a reality.

My role at CE+T Energrid is…

My main focus will be on sales and projects in Europe. My role is to offer customers the most suitable solutions that support them in their energy transition. I will also develop ways to easily collaborate with our colleagues in the CE+T Group who are located all over the world.

What are your challenges?

I already know the CE+T power products but I need to learn more about new products like the Stabiliti. There are a lot of opportunities that I have to be able to seize, study and make offers. The challenge is time, to be able to make offers in time, so the customers do not have to wait too long. In the longer term, I would like to offer standard solutions as well as solutions in outdoor containers that I would like to develop, not alone of course, but with the CE+T team.

What are your hobbies?

I like to travel and do sports. I travel as much as possible; I have been to Africa and Asia a lot. The combination of travelling and biking in Africa was perfect! I started from Cairo with my bike and my goal was to arrive in Cape Town but I had to stop in Tanzania due to COVID-19.

If you had to recommend a book, which one will it be?

I have really appreciated books written by Yuval Noah Harar: Sapiens A Brief History of Humankind and Homo Deus. The message is quite positive: with today’s world news you might think that the world is going badly, but if you look at the numbers, the number of people dying from hunger, violence and disease has never been so low as it is now. He also speaks about our future and the influence of artificial intelligence and microbiology.

My favorite quote is…

In the midst of every crisis, lies great opportunity…

(Albert Einstein)
